Bred to Win: Spotlight on Hannover Lodge's new way to prepare Ready2Race 2yo's

21/10/2021

Caroline Searcy and Bred to Win bring to life an exceptional interpretation of our vision: to bridge the divide between general equestrian training and preparing elite racehorses.

This 6 minute piece shines a spotlight on how we prepare Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale 2yo's for whole of life, through the addition and integration of some important principles of equestrian education into their racing training.  By complementing their general track work (e.g. barrier training, working in pairs etc.) with additional groundwork training, and through encouragement and development of a good mouth and a good attitude, we're giving thoroughbred athletes the best possible opportunity to not only develop optimal musculature, but to also be successful throughout preparations and beyond.

Sky News profile on Hinnerk and Jade, and their mission at Hannover Lodge to bring their knowledge of equestrian sports to the racing world.
"The duo combines their skills in eventing and show jumping and will take their passion for horses to new heights as they reach new opportunities in racing.
Ms Findlay, who is advisor and rider at Hannover Lodge, believes it is important for horses to be in the right hands from a young age as they develop their skills.

“Anything that happens to the horses and my personality traits or behavioural issues, they’re all human made, so I think it’s so important that horse right from the beginning is in the right hands,” she said.

“That’s something that we’re really passionate about, we don’t presume that we know the best in every aspect of having a horse with us here so we make sure we have the best people around us."

Hinnerk Hüeppe and Hannover Lodge featured profile in Secretariats World

1/10/2019

Everest Diaries speaks to Hueppe about Hannover Lodge's second draft for the 2019 Inglis Ready 2 Race sale, and much more.  During the interview, Hinnerk discusses his vision for the future of Hannover Lodge, and the important factors he considers when selecting a horse.
Click the button below to read the full interview.

"Q: This will be your second Ready to Race draft for the Inglis sale- what are your plans for future sales?

A: I want to work towards improving the depth and quality of the drafts I produce, rather than the size going forward. With my key goad to offer a well educationa and carefully managed individual.

Q: Do you select horses on type/athleticism or with particular races in mind?

A: Firstly on athleticism and conformation - the balance of the horse.
Secondly breeding and distance. Obviously breeding plays a large role in the potential financial outcome of a sale horse, but I'm a strong believer in the importance of the horses' natural balance and attitude. I have seen great results from horses who on paper may not be setting the world on fire."
